Recent research by Yonder Consulting on behalf of digital vault SafeKeep has shown that an estimated one in five people (23%) are concerned that the appropriate documentation will not be found by their loved ones in the event of their passing.
The research also showed that an estimated one in six people have lost an important document within the last five years, for example, Wills, passports, birth certificates, insurance paperwork, etc.
Many people do not know where to find their own personal documentation, let alone the same for their loved ones, which is cause for concern.
For example, you may spend time, money and effort ensuring that your loved ones and your assets are protected via a Will, yet if no one can find it or are unaware of its existence, your loved ones and assets are not as safe as you may think.
Further, during the time in which a loved one has passed away, not being able to find the Will or other important documents only adds more pressure, frustration and upset.
If you wish to discuss Will (or other important) storage with us, we would be happy to explain your options. Depending on your circumstances, your best storage option may not be the same as another person's.
