Biannually law firms regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) are required to collect and publish diversity data. At Penn Chambers Solicitors, we do not look at this as a "tick-box" exercise, but we believe diversity and inclusion are essential to who we are as a firm and how we serve our clients.

Here is a snapshot of our team as of the 2025 submission.

Diversity Data 2025

Roles Across the Firm

We are a boutique firm made up of a small but highly specialised team:

  • 1 Full Equity Partner / Sole Practitioner

  • 1 Salaried Partner

  • 1 Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX)

  • 2 Team Members in Fee Earner Support Roles

  • 3 Professionals in Corporate Services (HR, IT, Admin)

This structure reflects our commitment to delivering expert legal services with a strong and reliable support backbone.

Age Distribution

We are proud to be a multi-generational team:

  • 16–24: 2 team members

  • 25–34: 1 team member

  • 35–44: 2 team members

  • 45–54: 2 team members

  • 55–64: 1 team member

From early-career professionals to experienced specialists, our team brings energy, ambition, and wisdom in equal measure.

Gender Representation

  • Women: 7

  • Men: 2

The majority of our team is female, including across senior and legal roles. Gender equality and career progression go hand in hand at Penn Chambers.

Ethnic Diversity

  • Pakistani background: 1

  • White British: 6

  • Other White Background: 1

While we are a small team, we recognise the importance of cultural and ethnic representation, especially in leadership. We continue to seek ways to broaden inclusion.

Social Mobility Insights

  • School background:

    • Most of our team were educated at state schools, including both selective and non-selective schools.

  • First-generation professionals:

    • The majority of our team members’ parents did not attend university.

  • Household background:

    • Most grew up in households led by clerical, routine, or managerial workers.

These statistics highlight our belief in potential over privilege, and our commitment to providing opportunities for talented individuals, regardless of background.

Other Diversity Highlights

  • 100% of respondents identify with the sex they were assigned at birth.

  • No team member reported a disability.

  • All respondents identify as heterosexual.

  • Religious affiliation: a mix of Christian, Muslim, and those with no religion.

  • Two team members are primary carers for children under 18.

We believe that diversity is not just about who we are, but it is about how we think, how we communicate, and how we serve our clients. A diverse team is a stronger team.

We are proud of our inclusive culture, and we are always learning, always growing.
